National Games 2025 Update: The 2025 National Games, India’s premier Olympic-style multi-sport event, is set to kick off with an opening ceremony at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun on January 28 and will run until February 14. Hosted by Uttarakhand, this marks the 38th edition of the event, organized by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).

The National Games will see over 10,000 athletes, coaches, and officials from across states, Union Territories, and institutions competing in 32 medal sports alongside four unique demonstration events. These demonstration events include Mallakhamb, Kalarippayattu, rafting, and yogasana, showcasing India's rich cultural and sporting heritage.

National Games 2025 Schedule, Venue Information:

While the official opening ceremony is scheduled for January 28, the games will commence two days earlier with triathlon events on January 26. Key sports like kho kho and basketball will begin on the day of the opening ceremony, while boxing, featuring Tokyo 2020 bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain, will start on January 31 at the Shri Hari Singh Thapa Sports College Indoor Stadium.

The sporting action will conclude on February 13, followed by the closing ceremony on February 14, marking the culmination of what promises to be a grand celebration of Indian sports.
