Paris Paralympics 2024: Indian shooter Rubina Francis has clinched a bronze medal in the women's air pistol SH1 summit clash and has maintained the dominance of the country's shooters in the ongoing quadrennial event on Saturday.

Rubina scored 211.1 points and lay in the third position in the eight-woman final. She qualified for the summit clash after finishing in the seventh position in the qualifiers on Saturday.

This is the country's fourth medal in this sport and fifth overall at the ongoing quadrennial event.

On Friday, Avani Lekhara scripted history by successfully defending her women's 10m air rifle gold medal, which she had won at the Tokyo Paralympics as her fellow teammate Mona Agarwal clinched the bronze medal.

Manish Narwal then won a silver medal in the men's 10m air pistol (SH1). In this category, Athletes can successfully hold their gun and shoot either by standing or sitting in their wheelchair.
