JE Sports Desk:  The Wimbledon, which is the third grand slam of the year kicks off from Monday onwards in London.

Serbian star Novak Djokovic will be eyeing his fifth title to match Roger Federer's tally while Spain's Carlos Alcaraz barely expected to give an upset to the defending champion. Last year's runner-up Nick Kyrgios has pulled out of the tournament and Rafael Nadal is also out due to injury

The reigning champion Djokovic will face Pedro Cachin in the first round while the current world no.1 Alcaraz will lock horns with Jeremy Chardy.  He will be looking to clinch his third Grand Slam of the year, having already lifted Australian and French Open titles as he surpassed Rafael Nadal's record of 22 Grand Slams.

Elena Rybakina will square off against Shelby Rogers to start her campaign. She has lost twice against Shelby in the previous five encounters.

There are several concerns over Rybakina's title defense considering her fitness as Belarus' Aryna Sabalenka and Poland’s Iga Swiatek are the other two favorites considered as the other contenders to lift the title.

Russian and Belarusian players will be back as they were banned by the All England Club a year ago because of the attack on Ukraine launched by Russia.
