India AI impact summit 2026: Soon New Delhi will host the AI Impact Summit 2026, with the event set to take place at the Bharat Mandapam. The event will bring together some of the biggest names from the world of tech and AI, which would include names like Sundar Pichai and Bill Gates. Let's take a look at how the AI Impact Summit 2026 will unfold.

The Fourth Major AI Summit

Before this there have been three major AI summits so far, beginning with the AI Safety Summit 2023 (Bletchley Park, UK), then there was the AI Seoul Summit in South Korea as well as the AI Action Summit that was held in Paris last year in the month of February. This AI Impact Summit 2026 will mark the fourth major AI summit to take place in this series.

When Is It Going To Happen?

The summit is slated to take place from February 16 to February 20, with the venue at Bharat Mandapam, in New Delhi. Registrations for which have already begun, and attendees can register for the same through the official website [www.impact.indiaai.gov.in].

Agenda of the AI Impact Summit 2026

This AI Impact Summit 2026 would keep inclusive and impactful AI at the center of its discussion. The summit is being shaped around three clear ideas: people, planet, and progress. Conversations will revolve around skilling people for an AI-driven future, building sustainable and energy-efficient AI systems, and using technology to support economic and social development at scale.

To turn these ideas into action, seven working groups co-chaired by representatives from the Global North and Global South will present tangible outcomes. These include proposals for AI Commons, frameworks for trusted AI tools, shared compute infrastructure, and sector-specific playbooks showcasing real-world AI use cases.

Across five days, more than 700 sessions are planned, covering topics such as AI safety, governance, ethical deployment, data protection, and India’s roadmap towards sovereign AI.

Who Will Be Attending?

Attendance at the AI Impact Summit 2026 is expected to be heavyweight. Global AI leaders confirmed so far include Sundar Pichai, Sam Altman, Demis Hassabis, Dario Amodei, and Arthur Mensch.

Jensen Huang will also be at the summit, alongside other prominent tech voices such as Bill Gates, Brad Smith, Shantanu Narayen, Julie Sweet, Cristiano Amon, and Nikesh Arora.

From the global research community, former Meta Chief Scientist and AMI Labs founder Yann LeCun will attend, along with ‘Godfather of AI’ Yoshua Bengio and computer scientist Stuart Russell.

India’s business leadership will also be well represented. Confirmed attendees include Mukesh Ambani, Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Nandan Nilekani, Sunil Bharti Mittal, K. Krithivasan, Salil Parekh, and Roshni Nadar Malhotra.

The summit will formally open on 19 January, with Narendra Modi leading the inaugural ceremony, followed by a closed-door CEO roundtable bringing together global industry leaders for high-level discussions.
