BHARTI Airtel is among the popular telecom service providers in India. The company is striving hard to engulf the country in the 5G wave at a rapid speed. In a press release, on Thursday, the telecom giant announced that its 5G services are now live in 3,000 cities and towns across India.

Earlier, the company had announced unlimited data on select recharge packs for 5G users residing or using the service in a 5G-supported area. To avail of unlimited 5G data in an eligible zone, a user must recharge their SIM with a recharge of Rs 239 or over. Plus, a user must have a supported 5G handset to experience fast speeds over the internet.

In a press release, Airtel said, "From Katra in Jammu to Kannur in Kerala, Patna in Bihar to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh to the Union territory of Daman and Diu, all the key urban and rural parts," can now access Airtel 5G Plus with unlimited data.

"We're excited to cover large parts of the country with the power of 5G. Bridging every town and key rural areas in India by September 2023 remains our commitment as we continue to add 30-40 cities/ towns every single day. We are witnessing a rapid adoption of 5G amongst customers both in urban and rural India. Airtel 5G Plus will act as the propeller that will power ahead the next generation of digital connectivity, creating new business models and revolutionizes industries such as education, healthcare, manufacturing etc all along the way," Randeep Sekhon, Technology Officer, Bharti Airtel said. A user can access fast 5G connectivity by visiting 5G experience zones in their retail stores, the company adds.
