Android 14 Beta 4 update, which is now available for select beta developers, now comes with a lot of new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements for the users. Google introduced the new beta update on Tuesday with an aim to enhance the performance, battery life, security, and privacy of Android. With the new update, the California-based technology giant has added a new 'auto-confirm unlock feature.

Android 14 Beta 4 Update Changes

With this feature, the phone will be unlocked if the user puts in the correct PIN, but as per the report, it requires the condition that the PIN should be at least 6 digits for this feature to work. This new functionality aims to provide users with a convenient and seamless unlocking experience.

Further, the new beta update also adds a new default profile picture option which allows the user to customise their profile more easily. With this, the users will be able to choose a variety of profile pictures to personalise their Android devices.

The Speech options have also been relocated to the languages. Users will now need to go to Settings, select System, and then Keyboard Settings. To access the options, users must first pick System and then Languages.

Users can now also check the manufacturing year of their phones. All they have to do is go to Settings, About Phone, and then Model. The information showcased on the screen will also have the age of the device.

The Android 14 Beta 4 upgrade totally separates the 'ring volume' and 'notification volume' sliders in terms of volume management. Users now have better flexibility and personalization over sound preferences because they may separately modify the level of their phone calls and notification sounds.
