Android 14, the highly anticipated software update which was announced at Google I/O 2023, is now officially announced at the Made By Google 2023 event on Wednesday. Google Pixel 8 series becomes the first set of devices to get the Android 14 with generative AI wallpapers, ultra HDR and more.
With this, the California based technology company has also announced a slew of segment leading features for the users globally.
Android 14 Release Date:
Google stated that Android 14 will be available for all Pixel phones (beginning with the Google Pixel 4A) in its Made By Google 2023 presentation. Later this year, it will also be made available to manufacturers of smartphones, such as Samsung, OnePlus, and others.
Android 14: What’s New
The Android 14 introduces a number of new features, including security measures like enhanced passkey support and data privacy safeguards. More customization choices, health monitoring capabilities, and an improved user interface are also added.
Android 14: Google Pixel 8 Series Will Get These New Features:
Google appears to be incorporating AI into all of its products, and the Pixel 8 series is the best example. A number of fascinating features, including AI-powered lock screen customizations, an AI wallpaper generator, and more, have been unveiled by Google.
The company has also disclosed that it will now support more passkeys. Now, other programmes can be signed into using fingerprints. In addition, the company improved camera extension support, 10-bit HDR image compatibility, and Android's new Health Connect feature, which stores fitness and health data locally, similar to Apple Health.
In settings, users can also choose the Auto Confirm unlock option to avoid repeatedly entering their pin. Along with changing the font, Google has also made adjustments to the Alarm tab of Google Clock.
The business has also changed the call and notification options, along with the torch notification signals.
