Apple Siri Chatbot: Apple might be making a big move when it comes to Siri, as its chatbot companion may be on the cusp of receiving its biggest upgrade yet and strengthening its presence in the artificial intelligence arena. A Bloomberg report claims that the Cupertino-based tech giant is looking towards transforming Siri into a completely AI-enabled chatbot.

This new AI assistant that Apple might be working on, internally codenamed 'Campos', is expected to be deeply integrated with Apple's core operating infrastructure across all Apple devices. This new interface, which is AI-enabled, would be a complete turnaround from Siri, far more conversational and flexible while you question or command.

Apple Intelligence's success, which came out in 2024, in the market is already known with a lukewarm response from the public; this seems to be a new venture that the tech giant might want to take to keep up in the race with leading names in the industry. With this new assistant dubbed 'Campos' as of now, Apple seems to be taking a more centred and focused approach, with a chatbot-style experience which is both voice and text.

Apple-Google Partnership In AI

Apple has already signed off on an agreement with Google which basically lets Gemini AI power Siri. Much to the disappointment of OpenAI, which was pitching in for the same, this partnership is a big win for Google. Why? Because now Google gets to play a major role in one of the biggest tech giants' next-gen AI assistants. Internally 'Campos' is being pitched as a more powerful model and will also employ Google's advanced models, which means something similar to Gemini 3. Apple is calling this Foundation Models version 11.

When Can You Expect These Features To Show Up?

To answer that without wasting time, not soon. But it is expected to make an appearance later in the year during Apple's upcoming software updates.

Separately, Apple is also trying its luck with new AI-powered hardware, and some other reports point out that Apple might be working on an AI-assisted wearable pin, loaded with cameras, microphones, speakers, etc., and supposed to aid users throughout the day. This product as well will not hit the shelves anytime soon, but if Apple progresses with this idea, we could see the device somewhere in 2027.

For now all eyes are on 'Campos', which is likely to take the limelight of Apple's next line of software upgrades.
