Apple is expected to introduce a range of AI features at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024. Ahead of the announcement, at its latest earnings call, Apple CEO Tim Cook iterated that the tech giant has a set of advantages that will differentiate its generative AI approach. Cook hinted that Apple is set to bring some exciting updates around AI.
During the second fiscal quarter earnings call this year, the CEO added that Apple feels "bullish" about generative AI. He noted that the company continues to invest in the technology and is set to bring exciting news for customers. Cook highlighted the advantages of the company's seamless hardware (Apple's silicon chips and neural engine) and software integration.

"We continue to feel very bullish about our opportunity in generative AI. We are making significant investments and we are looking forward to sharing some very exciting things with our customers soon. We believe in the transformative power and promise of AI," MacRumors, citing the CEO reported.
"We believe we have advantages that will differentiate us in this new era, including Apple's unique combination of seamless hardware, software and services integration, groundbreaking Apple Silicon with our industry-leading neural engines, and our unwavering focus on privacy, which underpins everything we create," he added.
Cook has also hinted about AI tweaks earlier on several occasions. For context, Apple is expected to introduce a range of AI enhancements at the WWDC 2024. The company is expected to introduce iOS 18 for iPhone which could ship with on-device AI capabilities. Apart from the update for iPhone, Apple is expected to bring the next-gen update for iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. After releasing as a developer beta, these updates will roll out for users likely in September.
