Apple has already announced that it will be introducing the much-awaited Apple Intelligence features with the iOS 18.1 update in a phased manner. In the latest update, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman report claims that Apple is going to introduce the iOS 18.1 update with a few Apple Intelligence features on October 28.
Apple, during the iPhone 16 launch, announced that the iOS 18.1 update will come with Apple intelligence features in mid-October. However, the rollout claimed by the report is a bit late compared to the expected timeline but no statements have been made by the company. Speaking of the reason for delay. Mark Gurman claimed that this delay is a result of because it wants to eliminate the bigs and make sure private cloud computing servers can handle a massive traffics from millions of users after updating.
The iOS 18.1 feature will bring along some new features for the iPhone 16 series and iPhone 15 Pro series. While it will bring some AI features, it may not be appealing to some of the iOS 18 users. Here are some of the features that will roll out in iOS 18.1.
The features include the writing tools, new Siri user interface (major use cases will rollout with iOS 18.2 and later updates, notification summaries, memory creation in Photos, Clean Up feature and much more.
Here is the expected breakout of the features that will roll out with the future updates as per the Mark Gurman.
October: iOS 18.1, with the features listed above
December: iOS 18.2, with ChatGPT support, Genmoji, and Image Playground
Early 2025: iOS 18.3 or iOS 18.4 with new Siri rollout

Do note that it may take some massive new updates to bring in all the Apple Intelligence features to eligible iPhones in the coming months. We expect that all the features will roll out the Apple Intelligence features by the time the company launches the iPhone SE4.
