APPLE fans await the newest version of the software in the hope of new features and improvements. Apple announced iOS 16 at WWDC in June 2022. The latest version of the software has a new lock screen, focus filter, reimagined home app and other privacy and security improvements. This time stakes are high for improvements in iOS 17 along with a fresh feature set.
The customisation tools, like last year, are expected to play a major role this year in improvements. New fonts, widgets, and added lock screens with focus modes are expected in the customisation basket, according to a report by HT Tech.
As Dynamic Island is expected to debut on upcoming iPhone models, the support for apps to utilise the tool will see further expansion. Plus, Live Activities might move outside the lock screen, the report adds. Over and above these, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg reported expectations of an alternative to Apple’s App Store in the EU.
9to5Mac wishlists a few features for the upcoming iOS 17 in a report. Shareable custom lock screens with the help of airdrop, iMessage or an app are what they wish. Plus clipboard manager, split view for multitasking, a new pro mode in the native camera app, fine-tuning Siri (the digital assistant) and more are what the platform wishes to see.
Apple is reportedly testing Apple Music Classical, revealed MacRumors. Classical lovers might finally reap the benefits of the Primephonic deal in 2021 via the Apple Music app. Other than the peculiar features, overall optimisation in the software, better battery life and ironing out the bugs will be on the top to-do list of the manufacturer like the earlier updates.
However, no information from official circles is presented in this article and hence the actual iOS 17 might come with these features or not. We’ll have to wait till the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) of 2023 to know the feature release from official channels.
