Apple iOS 17.1.2 is finally here for the iOS 17-eligible iPhones globe. However, the new update is not the major one and is offered with some security patches along with some bug fixes. Apple has also advised users to update their iPhones with the latest version for a safe and secure user experience. Not only that, the company has also introduced the iPadOS 17.1.2 with bug fixes.

Do note that, before setting your iPhone on the update, ensure that your smartphone is charged over 60 per cent for a hassle-free update. Also, this update is not eligible for iPhone X and below models, while the iPhone XS and above series are eligible for the update.

Follow these steps to update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS 17

1. Visit Settings, go to General
2. Go to Software Update
3. Now let your iPhone refresh the page and see if there are any updates
4. Choose Update Now and start downloading
5. After downloading, tap on Install Now and follow all the prompts.

Meanwhile, tech fans are waiting for the Apple iOS 17.2 update which may add the new Journal application which will allow you to keep track of your daily life including activities and more. The feature is currently under testing and will be released in a few weeks.
