iOS 17.1 Release Date: Apple, a Cupertino-based tech giant, has been in the news for its new iPhone and iOS 17. While the company introduced the new OS with several new features, there were a few software-based problems with the new iPhone 15 series. Users of Pro models reported heating issues with the phone. While Apple has already addressed that issue, the company is preparing to release iOS 17.1 soon.

According to ANFR, the national frequency agency of France that gained the limelight during the iPhone 12 ban for excessive Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) value, Apple will bring a fix for all users before (or until) October 24. According to media reports, this is also the date of the release of the upcoming iOS 17.1.

While the indication clearly mentions the iPhone 12, all users could imply other models. And considering the update is due this month, we can expect a debut before the last week of October. According to iPhoneSoft, the update could pack new ringtones, AirDrop via mobile data or Wi-Fi, features for StandBy, and more enhancements.

"Apple has committed to deploying an update in France. The fix will be available to all users no later than October 24," a translation of ANFR's news read. The agency asked Apple to withdraw its iPhone from the French market on September 12 until SAR requirements were met.

The tech giant has prepared an update, which the authority has validated. This package is already rolling out to beta testers. Apple is committing to release it before October 24. The report added that the ban will remain in effect until the update is rolled out.
