Apple iPhone 15 Heating Issue Fix: Soon after Apple announced its iPhone 15 series, several customers thronged stores to buy one. As they returned home, many users in the lot discovered heating issues on their devices. The problem seemed to have plagued the Pro models in most cases. But the good news is - Apple is working on a fix.
According to a statement shared with MacRumors, the Cupertino-based tech giant is planning to release an update for iOS 17 to address this problem on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The manufacturer added that some third-party apps were among the reasons for this overheating. The list includes Uber, Instagram and Asphalt 9: Legends.

The tech giant is working with the app developers to issue a fix. Meta's photo-sharing app has rolled out an update to address the problem. Apple added that the Pro models tend to get warmer due to the initial setup and data restoration from an old device primarily because of heightened background tasks.

"We have identified a few conditions which can cause iPhone to run warmer than expected. The device may feel warmer during the first few days after setting up or restoring the device because of increased background activity." according to MacRumors, Apple said.
The company also discovered a bug in this regard and said a fix will be deployed in the upcoming update. "Another issue involves some recent updates to third-party apps that are causing them to overload the system. We're working with these app developers on fixes that are in the process of rolling out," the company added.
The iPhone maker might introduce a fix with the iOS 17.1 update that will likely be released by the end of this month. A second possibility is a minor update to fix this problem in the upcoming days.
Apple will not cap the performance of the A17 Pro processor and added that it is not a safety risk. The long-run performance shall remain unaffected. Moreover, as speculated in the past, the new titanium frame has nothing to do with the heating problem.
