Apple launched the iPhone 15 series at its highly anticipated 'Wonderlust' event and they are now on sale in India. After users purchased their shiny new iPhones from the Apple store and other offline and online channels, several users reported issues that range from heating to bugs in OS, and the controversial back glass that has plagued the new iPhone is a story for some other day.
In that latest series, a fresh problem is reportedly cropping up with respect to the Type-C port on the new iPhone 15 series. According to Macrumors, this Type-C port does not accept charging via certain power banks and is surprisingly reverse charging them.

The report cited an example of a Reddit user who said that the iPhone was reverse charging the Anker power bank. "I plugged my iPhone 15 Pro into this brand new Anker power bank and the power bank is drawing power from the iPhone. How do I switch it to provide power to the iPhone?"

In other cases, the power bank fails to supply current to the iPhone while functioning without any issues on other models. The report added that this is not one case in point. Issues also exist with Anker PowerCore Slim 10K PD and other power banks. A potential fix to the problem is that users can try charging using the USB-A port, according to Anker.
"It seems that due to the iPhone 15 series' reverse charging function, the USB C's port charging of Anker PowerCore Slim 10k PD will be influenced, which does not have a solution currently. The only way to get your iPhone charged is to use the USB A port," citing the company, MacRumors reported.
Apple supports wireless charging to charge devices such as an Apple Watch or the newly launched AirPods Pro (2nd generation). The report added that Power Delivery-supported power banks tend to work fine in most cases. You can try one of them if you are encountering such issues. For context, the company introduced USB-C charging as a replacement for the Lighting port following an EU regulation.
