Apple's iPhone 15 series, which was recently announced, has already wowed tech enthusiasts. There have undoubtedly been significant advancements that have piqued the interest of people all across the world. However, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro users who received the flagship smartphone first have experienced numerous concerns with heat and battery backup.
According to the report, Apple’s all-new advanced chipset A17 Pro which was developed by TSMC is more prone to overheating, that too, with normal usage. The world’s first chipset with a 3nm chipset, which aims to offer better performance is one of the major reasons behind it.

On my end, there has been none of it. Weird because most people seem to be claiming that their phones get really hot. Makes me wonder why that is and why im not experiencing it. Thoughts? 🫠 Feel free to share your experiences! 🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/hj6QqzJgwq
According to the Revegnus heatmap analysis, after testing the iPhone 15 Pro, the smartphone was the hottest, with temperatures reaching up to 48 degrees Celsius near the A17 Pro processor. Furthermore, numerous tech influencers, like YouTuber Vadim Yuryev, have stated that the tech giant has raised the wattage in order to enhance the benchmark score, which results in lower battery life and even heating difficulties.
The report suggests that these faults can also cause the iPhone's performance to be throttled in order to prevent damage to its internal components. Furthermore, if the smartphone reaches 48 degrees Celsius, it is enough to produce a first-degree burn, especially on the iPhone 15 Pro, which lacks a cooling mechanism.
Other tech influencers have also stated that the iPhone 15 Pro Max's throttling body is problematic, with users experiencing a considerable reduction in performance following the GPU load. However, according to the chipset, the benchmark score of the iPhones is more outstanding.
It would not be wrong to say that the iPhone 15 Pro is a powerful device but will continue to provide overheating issues, throttling issues and reduced battery life. So, it is advised to research before buying the Pro variants.
