iPhone 15 Heating Issue: Soon after acknowledging that the new iPhone 15 Pro models get warmer than usual, Apple has released an update to fix the issue. This comes after the Cupertino-based tech giant shared that the update is in process. According to the support page, the update packs bug fixes and addresses an issue that heats the iPhone.

If you are also facing such issues on your brand-new iPhones, it is advised that you update your phone from Settings by heading to the General tab and tapping on Software Update. This update comes on the heels of the outcry of customers who reported serious problems with the new iPhones.

Taking cognisance of the issue, Apple shared with MacRumors that the new iPhones turn warm due to background activity after the initial setup and data restoration process. Secondly, a bug was cited as a reason for the issue. Third-party apps such as Instagram, Uber, Asphalt 9: Legends and more were also overloading the system, according to Apple. The tech giant added that it will roll out fixes in the future.

And in the latest move, while introducing iOS 17.0.3 for users, Apple said: "This update provides important bug fixes and security updates, and addresses an issue that may cause iPhone to run warmer than expected." Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed the new iPhone overheats due to the compromises in the "thermal system design," and lowering the CPU performance would fix the problem.

However, Apple iterated that it would not degrade the performance of the A17 Pro. Unlike previous reports that added the titanium frame might elevate the problem, Apple denied such claims. The update will be available for iPhone XS and later models.

On a related note, the company also introduced iPadOS 17.0.3 update for "iPad Pro 12.9-inch 2nd gen and later, iPad Pro 10.5-inch, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st gen and later, iPad Air 3rd gen and later, iPad 6th gen and later, and iPad mini 5th gen and later" on Wednesday.
