iOS 18 Release Date Leaks: Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has scheduled its September launch event, where the company will likely unveil the new iPhones. The lineup may include four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Days after the event, the company may announce the public release of iOS 18. The tech giant has already said that iOS will be available "this fall" for iPhone Xs and later devices.

iOS 18 Release Date In India (Expected)

While the company has not revealed a precise timeline for launch, 9To5Mac has speculated a possible timeline. The report noted iOS 18's public release is expected in mid to late September. This could imply a release somewhere between September 16 to September 23. Meanwhile, BGR points out that the rollout could begin on September 18.

Apple generally releases the new iOS a week after launching the iPhones. The first major point update, the iOS 18.1 update, is expected to follow in the second half of October 2024 and get notable Apple Intelligence enhancements in beta. Note that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be eligible for the Apple Intelligence features. The upcoming iPhone 16 series may also get the latest features.

iOS 18 Compatible Devices

The list of eligible devices that will support iOS 18 includes the iPhone 15 series, iPhone 14 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 11 series, iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, iPhone XR and iPhone SE (2nd generation or later). However, Apple Intelligence will be limited to iPhone 15 Pro models and likely the new iPhone 16 series.

Apple iOS 18: Features
