JE Technology Desk: Apple will likely launch the latest iPhone 15 series in September, which has got Apple fans ringing for quite some time. Another update that has intrigued the world is AI, and these two might intermix together in a big way with the launch of the iPhone 15 series. Dan Ives, a Wedbush Securities analyst, told Daily Mail that we could witness Apple's more aggressive AI steps soon, which might coincide with the iPhone 15.

In the current scenario, the California-based tech giant deploys AI and machine learning (ML) in products like Siri voice assistant and features in new OSs, including iOS 17, macOS Sonoma and for photo rendering and enhanced auto-correct. But still, they lag behind the latest Pixel device from Google that runs on its in-house Tensor chip and comes with AI-laden software.

As per Tom's Guide, Ives said, "It's only a matter of time before Apple aggressively moves into artificial intelligence." With the move, Apple could join other tech titans such as Microsoft, Google, OpenAI and more in the AI race. It is worth noting the company did not make any major announcements or reveal plans about AI at WWDC 2023.

AI Updates: iOS Health App

Ives suggests the Health app will customise recommendations for workouts, exercise plans, and diet depending on the collected data from sleep cycle, heart rate, breathing stats, and more.

AI-based Mood Tracking

As per the analyst, Apple may use AI to gauge a user's mood by observing the speech. It could be applied to messages, the report adds. This might be a debate-worthy feature when it debuts. Ives holds a note-worthy track record of Apple-related leaks.

Apple iPhone 15: More Leaks

Coming to leaks in the past, the vanilla iPhone 15 model may have a USB Type-C port and Dynamic Island (currently exclusive to the 'Pro' model). It is tipped to come with a 48MP primary camera. While the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will likely debut with a price hike, we do not have strong hints about the same for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.
