JE Technology Desk: Apple will likely launch the iPhone 15 series in September 2023. The products are among the favourites of the rumour mill because of the wide craze among Apple fans. And in recent leaks, a tipster has revealed that the upcoming series will not debut in a red variant popularly tagged as PRODUCT (RED). For the unaware, Apple has had a partnership with (RED) for the past 16 years.

Apple iPhone 15 Series Leaks: no PRODUCT (RED) this time

Tipster Unknownz21, while replying to a user who wished to buy the iPhone 15 Pro and asked for hints on the colour options, shared on Twitter that "Four of them. None of them are red." The tipster has a strong background of leaking information about the Vision Pro and iPhone 14 series.

While Forbes has reached out to the leakster for comments, it is unclear whether the new product will release later or will Apple mark a full stop on the product. Presently, the colour option is available on limited iPhones (and covers), Apple Watch, Watch bands, AirPods Pro Max and other products.

Through the (RED) initiative, Apple aims to fight diseases and outbreaks such as AIDS, HIV and COVID-19 around the globe and offer funds for the prevention, treatment and awareness about them.

iPhone 15 to get frosted glass

As per the news outlet, a reliable Weibo account leaked that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will come with a frosted back glass finish like the 'Pro' handsets. This will act in favour of buyers looking to get the non-Pro models but who wish for a satiny finish like the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

As for other leaks, the vanilla iPhone 15 and the Plus model will likely have an A16 Bionic chip, Dynamic Island and a USB Type-C port. Among the significant upgrades is the inclusion of the 48MP primary lens.
