Aplle iPhone 17 Ultra: Apple is getting ready to unveil its iPhone 17 series globally in just a few months, and this time, the lineup could see some interesting changes. According to early reports, we might get a rebranded lineup that includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Ultra. If that happens, Apple could be moving away from its traditional “Plus” and “Pro Max” models, aiming for a more streamlined naming strategy.

One of the most anticipated devices in the new series is the iPhone 17 Pro Max — or as it might officially be called, the iPhone 17 Ultra. This model is expected to come with major upgrades, particularly in the design and camera departments, setting it apart from last year’s iPhone 16 Pro Max. Here’s a closer look at everything we know so far about the upcoming iPhone 17 Ultra.

Phone 17 Ultra: Rumoured Specifications

As for hardware, the iPhone 17 Ultra is shaping up to be a powerhouse. It’s expected to feature a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it could run on the new A19 Pro chipset and offer up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

To help with cooling, Apple might introduce a dedicated vapour chamber system along with a graphite layer — a first for iPhones — aimed at keeping the device cool during heavy use. Battery performance is also expected to see a boost, with estimates suggesting around 33 hours of battery life on a full charge.

On the camera front, the Ultra could boast three powerful 48MP sensors — a main camera, an ultrawide lens, and a telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, users might get an upgraded 24MP front camera.

Phone 17 Ultra: New Design Leaks

Design leaks and early renders hint at a fresh new look for the iPhone 17 Ultra. While the phone will still feature a triple-camera setup, the layout could change slightly. The Camera Island design is said to remain, but the LiDAR sensor and flash might be repositioned to the right side. Interestingly, the colour of the camera module will reportedly match the rear panel, so don’t expect any striking contrast like on some earlier models.

iPhone 17 Ultra: Expected Release Timeline

If Apple sticks to its usual schedule, the iPhone 17 series should be announced in September. Several reports suggest the company could hold its launch event between September 11 and 13. However, no official dates are out yet.
