Apple iPhone SE 4 Leaks: Apple will likely launch the iPhone SE 4th generation next year with significant upgrades. Ahead of the launch, a new leak has hinted at the price of the rumoured phone. As per an X (formerly called Twitter) post from tipster Revegnus, the price in the US of the fourth-generation SE model will likely remain the same at $429. Or the company could consider increasing the price by about 10 per cent.
While the account "no longer exists" on X, this could mean the company may still go with a starting price below $500 in any case. The update comes after a recent report from The Information which claimed the tech giant could introduce the next-generation iPhone SE in the spring of 2025.
The report noted the device could be a "cheaper" trim in the iPhone lineup and may have a design similar to the iPhone 14 with a notch. This could mean the company could end up replacing the Touch ID and Home Button in favour of the Face ID. As per leaks, the model could get a 6.1-inch OLED screen this time.
The model could also get an Action Button, found on the iPhone 15 Pro models. It may also have a USB Type-C port for charging as a replacement for Lightning jack. The upcoming model could have a 48MP primary camera on the rear. For context, the latest iPhone SE was launched in March 2022.
MacRumors claim the company could use parts similar to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 13. The legacy components could mean lower investments in research and development of the model. If the 10 per cent price rise materialises, the handset could sit in the sub-Rs 50,000 price bracket in India. However, readers must take the details with a pinch of salt as Apple has not confirmed any update about the device.
