Apple has just announced its iPhone 17-series launch on September 9, 2025 titled as Awe Dropping Event. And ahead of the launch Apple just released the new iOS 26 Beta 9 for their iPhones. The update has been released for the developers and public beta testers on Tuesday. The update majorly focuses on the bug fixes and a few improvements
iOS 26 Beta 9
Officially, the beta is available for iPhone 11 and later devices, only to those who are enrolled in the Apple beta programme. However, the Apple Intelligence features remain exclusive to Apple iPhone 16 series and iPhone 15 Pro series. If you are enrolled in iOS 26, you can simply download and install the iOS 26 Beta 9 by heading to the Settings → General → Software Update.

Fixes in iOS 26 Beta 9
Apple has mentioned in the changelogs that the new firmware fixes a bug that previously caused system updates to consume unnecessary storage. Siri’s integration with ChatGPT replies with outdated information has also been fixed in this new firmware.
Also, Japanese language users reported a bug in Image Playground and Genmoji problems are also fixed. Just so you know, the modifiers didn't work and image generation was blocked.

Even the Camera app glitch which kept the mode selector expanded on the launch has also been fixed with small Kernel, Journaling, Contacts, Lock screen, App intents, and Webkit as well.
When Will the iOS 26 Beta 10 Release?
Reports say that iOS 26 Beta 9 might be the last Beta version for iOS 26 and the stable build is soon expected along with the iPhone 17 series launch on 9 September 2025 in its Awe Dropping event. Soon after the launch the stable build will be pushed to everyone including the previous generation iPhones. Please note that only iPhone 11 and later devices will be the one to receive the updates.
