Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 9 at its mega 'Wonderlust' event today from its headquarters in Cupertino, California. The new smartwatch comes as a worthy successor to the Watch Series 8. Announcing the watch, the company shared a few anecdotes of users about how it alerted them about diseases and helped them save their lives.
Apple Watch Series 9 Specifications
The watch comes with an S9 SiP CPU and a powerful Neural Engine. Plus, it will be powered by the company's own watchOS 10 (which will roll out soon after the launch). On-device data processing by Siri will be available on the watch in the coming time. It has an edge-to-edge retina display, which offers a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits.
Series 9 also has a new 'Double Tap' gesture to perform functions via the index finger. It can be used to pause alarms, answer calls and more. It will be available from next month. A second-generation Ultra Wideband (UWB) chip that ensures better tracking across devices debuted on the accessory.

Apple Watch SE
The more affordable accessory gets features like Fall Detection, heart rate notifications, and Emergency SOS. It runs on watchOS 10. The Watch SE is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes.
Apple Watch Series 9 Price, Availability
Apple Watch Series 9 will start from Rs 41,900 in India. On the other hand, the Apple Watch SE will have a starting price of Rs 29,900. Indian buyers can order the smartwatches from Apple's website. It will arrive in stores from September 22.
On the expected lines, the Series 9 has arrived in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm and colour options including: "starlight, midnight, silver, (PRODUCT)RED, and a new pink aluminium case, as well as stainless steel in gold, silver, and graphite cases."
