Apple WWDC 2023: CEO Tim Cook has concluded the annual developer event and has introduced a variety of new products and software udpates. The company has introduced Mixed Reality headset pro, MacBook Air, next-generation iOS17, iPadOS17, WatchOS10, MacOS and more.
Here is a list of things that we anticipate Apple will announce at WWDC 2023.
1. Apple Vision Pro:
One of the major highlights of the WWDC 2023 was the announcement of the Vision Pro AR/VR headset. Under the hood, it is powered by the R1 chip and M2 chip and is made of the lightest possible material made Aluminium. The device has a battery backup for up to hours. It is paired with the 3D glass along with a stretchable strap and more. It would run on the dedicated Vision OS. It also gets a slew of new features and systems just as the EyeSight feature, 3D Camera, real-time sensor, 12 cameras, and five sensors. It will be available on the official website from the initial months of next year at a price of $3499.
2. MacBook Air:
Apple has introduced the Apple MacBook Air 15, which is powered by an M2 chip and is said to be 12 times faster than an Intel-based MacBook Air. It includes a Magic Keyboard, up to 24 GB of RAM, 2 TB of storage, and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. Furthermore, Apple claims it is the world's thinnest 15-inch laptop. It gets an 18-hour battery life along with an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU. The price of the MacBook Air starts with a tag of Rs 134,900.
3. Mac Pro:
The M2 Ultra 24-core CPU, which supports 76 cores GPT, 8 Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a premium Pro Display XDR are all included with the brand-new Mac Pro. It is an expensive gadget made especially for artists and designers. The cost of the same product begins at Rs 729,900. The Mac Studio, which has a starting price of Rs 209,900 and can be customised with either Apple's M2 Max or M2 Ultra CPUs, has also been unveiled.
4. iOS 17:
The company has also announced the next-generation software generation along with new features like Standby mode, NameDrop, Voicemail, Journal application, and more. It also gets revamped iMessage, Facetime revamps along with a few more useful features for the users to do their day-to-day tasks.
5. iPadOS 17
For iPads, the company has introduced AirDrop capabilities, more precise autocorrect, and more personalised lock screen. Apple has also made some changes to Health applications and changes to Live Activities. Notes, PDF has also got some changes as a part of an update.
6. macOS Sonoma
Apple has also announced the revamped version of MacOS Sonoma, with new desktop widgets, Apple TV-like aerial screensavers, and enhancements to apps like Messages and Safari. It also gets a dedicated Game mode with improved CPU and GPU performance for gamers. On the other hand, Safari has got better private browsing functionality.
7. tvOS 17
Additionally, Apple unveiled the much-upgraded version of tvOS for the next generation. With this, the Apple TV will now support FaceTime, an app that makes video calls to your big-screen TV using the camera on your iPhone or iPad. Additionally, customers could use FindMy to locate their Apple TV remote.
8. watchOS 10
WatchOS is a significant new feature that has emerged with many new updates. Users of Apple WatchOS would receive new widgets and updated apps. Users might turn the digital crown to give them access to information. There are now additional watch faces, themes, and Peanuts characters.
