The Battlefield series is back in a big way. Early reports on the latest entry in the series indicate that Battlefield 6 has already sold a whopping seven million copies, raking in roughly $350 million (₹3,077 crore) in revenue across all platforms since its release on October 10 — meaning it’s well ahead of analyst expectations. Battlefield 6 Sales and Performance
Data from Alinea Analytics shared with GamesIndustry.biz shows Battlefield 6 has shifted seven million copies in its first five days, just behind EA Sports FC 26 which moved 7.7 million within the same timeframe. This keeps Battlefield 6 well ahead of major launch games such as Monster Hunter Wilds (which sold 6.2 million) and Borderlands 4 (which sold 2.3 million).

Battlefield 6 sold in excess of 3.5 million across Steam only; more than half of all sales were on this PC platform. The game also broke new franchise records with more than 700,000 concurrent players, making it one of the most-played games in Steam history.
After Steam, the PS5 accounted for 23.7% of sales, and Xbox platforms made up 19.6%.
A Return to Form for the Franchise
The release of Battlefield 6 will be a massive return to form for EA’s long-running FPS series, one that has lagged behind rival Call Of Duty in recent years. Good reviews, polished game play and huge numbers of players mean the new title is grabbing back attention among military shooter enthusiasts.

Post-Launch Plans
EA announced that Battlefield 6 will receive post-launch content such as new maps, weapons and seasonal updates to keep players coming back. If this trend continues, Battlefield could see a revival as one of gaming's oldest and most iconic FPS series.
In other words, Battlefield 6 is not just a strong release; it’s also one of the year’s most crucial gaming moments, as it cements the series’ return as a power in the multiplayer shooter world.
