Finally, the BGMI 4.1 update has gone live, adding a complete winter twist to the game. In tandem with the seasonal vibe, this major release brings in Frosty Funland – a chilling horror event featuring Anamika, the Haunted Indian Bride, Metro Royale's tactical mode, and the inclusion of Porsche supercars. From globally popular in-game mechanics to India-specific content, the new update promises a fresh and immersive experience.

Frosty Funland: Winter Wonderland Meets Battle Royale

Frosty Funland takes centre stage as Erangel transforms into a snowy playground full of penguins, snow villages, and mini-events. Players will be able to venture into 'Penguinville', a major new point of interest surrounded by several smaller Snow Festival villages that double as dynamic battle hubs. According to Krafton, the environment "features a cheerful 20th-century-inspired aesthetic — bright, lively visuals with a distinct charisma."

The snow villages are inhabited by NPCs who provide missions, such as Alchemist Penguin and Gunsmith challenges, that inspire exploration and interaction by the players.

Improvised Ice Weapons and Tactical Gear

Exclusive winter-themed weapons and gadgets have been added in the update. The use of Magic Ice Skates will pave temporary paths of ice for rapid movements, while players can try the Winterland Kar-98K, a snow variant sniper rifle with ice-charged bullets that set off delays in detonation and slow down enemies. The Salted Fish Rocket Launcher joins the arsenal, firing ice projectiles with special item skills such as Flame Spray and the floating mechanic for creative combat.

Snowmobiles, Snowballs, and Seasonal Vehicles

Movement in Frosty Funland is reimagined, as the Penguin Snowmobile represents a four-person vehicle with specially designed mechanics: one pushes snowballs down hills or has a co-passenger boost speed, adding playful dynamics to vehicle combat.
