BGMI, also known as Battlegrounds Mobile India which was silently removed from the App Store and Google Play Store due to security reasons, could reportedly soon make a comeback with some changes. Battlegrounds Mobile India was introduced as the replacement for PUBG mobile which was also banned on the same grounds.
However, the game is removed from the PlayStore and App Store, but the servers for the game have not been frozen and users across the country are still able to play the game, but without the major updates.
In a report by News18 citing its top sources in the government, BGMI is all set to make a comeback and will be available on all the application markets including the PlayStore and Apple App Store. Further, the report also states that the Indian government would allow Battlegrounds Mobile India on Google Play Store and Apple App Store for three months
According to the report, the Indian government intends to temporarily put back Battlegrounds Mobile India on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Before making a comeback, the company will also be focusing on a few other factors.
The report suggests that the company would make the below-listed changes:
1. Players will only be able to play for a set amount of time; they won't have constant access to the game.
2. A few changes will be made to the previous version of the game, which will only be accessible for a brief time.
3. According to the report, Krafton has reportedly already made some adjustments and assured the authorities that it complies with all regulations.
4. Since the colour will be changed as the default setting, BGMI will also lack blood. In order to address addiction, murders, and suicides that have been linked to players' fixation with the game, Krafton has been asked to make the appropriate changes.
