Expanding Rapid Delivery Services
The company has plans to leverage its large order fleet to deliver laptops and peripherals and has plans to expand the range of products and the association with more brands soon. This move follows Blinkit's recent efforts to expand its quick commerce offerings, including 10-minute deliveries of high-demand items like the iPhone 16, Samsung Galaxy S24, and PlayStation 5. The company also added new delivery locations such as Hisar, Jammu, Lonavala, and Raipur.
Competition in Quick Commerce
Even though Blinkit is the top choice when it comes to fast consumables and quick commerce, the competition in this space is ever growing with brands like Flipkart Minutes giving it tough competition in the quick delivery space which launched in August 2024, offering fast delivery of electronics, groceries, and more.
Apart from that Amazon has also entered the market with its Tez platform, currently testing its 15-minute delivery model in Bengaluru which will provide groceries and daily essentials. It is reason enough for Blinkit to expand its scope and continuously innovate and expand upon what the platform has to offer in this quick delivery space, with even faster deliveries and a wider range of products to choose from.
