WhatsApp polls: In order to make the polls more visually appealing and engaging, WhatsApp is currently testing a feature that lets its users add images to the polls. The feature is currently available in the Android beta version, this feature will allow channel owners to attach photos to poll options, enhancing the overall voting experience.
With the option to add a photo to each poll option, users will get a much clearer idea and a visual representation of the choices that are available in front of them, this would help the users to make a much more informed decision. This feature could be particularly useful for businesses in fields like design, food, travel, and fashion. For instance, a clothing store’s WhatsApp channel owner can now use polls to gather feedback and even take orders directly through the platform.
To maintain consistency, WhatsApp requires all poll options to have images if one option includes a photo. This ensures that all options are presented in the same visual context, allowing users to easily compare them.
Currently, this feature is only available on WhatsApp channels that have access to its beta version as the company plans to collect relevant feedback before extending the feature to group chats and individual conversations. For now, there is no exact timeline for when the feature will surface on other chat types, but it is expected to launch soon for the public.
With WhatsApp ready to introduce yet another feature for the public, this time with enhancements to its polling functionality, users can be assured that the company is looking forward to enhancing user interaction on the platform.
