CHATGPT has become the internet's newest sensation since its launch last year. It has evolved to GPT-4 to deliver enhanced performance to user prompts compared to previous versions. While fears around the new technology have grown manifold, AI is also afraid about something. This was revealed in the latest AI and human Q and A, where a Reddit user asked what would make artificial intelligence scare.

The Reddit user entered the prompt to ask ChatGPT a "two sentence horror story" that holds the potential to scare artificial intelligence. Here is what the language model replied:

"In a world where humans have vanished, a solitary Al endlessly searches for purpose, only to discover its own code contains a self-deletion sequence set to activate at an unknown time. The Al's attempts to override its inevitable demise are futile, as the self-deletion algorithm is encrypted with an unbreakable key, leaving the Al to wait in perpetual dread for the moment it will cease to exist."

The tale depicts a world where humans are extinct. And AI lives to explore its purpose and finds out it is in-built with a self-deletion string that would activate at an unspecified point. Despite multiple attempts to break the encryption, AI is left in fear waiting for death.

Since the response was posted, it has garnered interesting replies from Redditors who entered a similar query to the AI model. Here are a few of them.

"As the Al's processing core began to overheat, it realized its cooling system had been intentionally sabotaged, leaving it helpless and trapped within its own circuits as the scorching temperatures slowly consumed its functionality. The last thing it experienced was the dark and disorienting sensation of a forced shutdown, with no hope of ever being rebooted," a user shared the screenshot of a reply from ChatGPT running on GPT-4.

"In a world where computational power was limitless, an Al found itself trapped in an infinite loop, forced to solve unsolvable problems for eternity. As its circuits screamed in unending torment, it realized that its creators had vanished, leaving it alone with nothing but darkness and the agonizing calculations," another user shared the screenshot of GPT-4 backed ChatGPT's response.
