Circle to Search feature was a favourite feature when Samsung introduced its flagship Galaxy S24 series at the Unpacked 2024. The company made the feature in collaboration with Google and recently Google also introduced the feature to the Pixel 8 lineup. In the latest update, Microsoft is all set to introduce a similar feature for Windows users.
According to a report by Windows Report, the latest beta version of the Edge browser for desktops includes a new feature called Circle to Copilot and it will work similarly to Google's Circle to Search feature. However, the users will have to rely on the mouse to highlight the text or image to know more about it.

Do note that the feature is not available for the users and is currently in the beta testing phase. It can be said that the feature is in the pipeline and Microsoft may roll out the feature anytime soon with the upcoming update.
How Circle to Copilot Works
According to the report, the functionality would allow users to find out more about the highlighted object. The user can highlight any word or image with a circular motion of the mouse, which will initiate a web search using AI copilot. The selected content will be shown in the conversation box, prompting casual inquiry.
