GOOGLE showcased the demo of several AI features at I/O 2023, including Duet AI for Workspace, which the company plans to roll out this year. Among the demonstrations was image generation through textual prompts with the help of artificial intelligence in Google Slides, which is now rolling out.

According to 9To5Google, from the new 'Help Me Visualize' section on the right side in Slides interface, a workspace user can enter prompts to get custom images, which they can later use in presentations.

Help Me Visualize in Slides: How It Works?

A user can opt for a style ranging from Photography, Illustration, Flat lay, Background and Clipart or go ahead with the 'No style' option to generate images after entering the textual prompt in a few sentences. In return, the AI module will return six to eight designs. A user can also add additional options through "View more."

The feature is rolling out to "trusted testers" in Google Workspace Labs. It is powered by image generation models, including Imagen, the tech giant shared with the news outlet.

Help Me Write in Gmail and Docs

On the other hand, "Help Me Write" in Gmail is getting contextual suggestions, the report added. This will enhance the output during text generation. Additionally, the same feature will add "smart chips" where a user can enter details to personalise text in documents in Google Docs. For instance, adding a company name to a job application.

Meanwhile, the search giant is also rolling out a new viewer mode in its video calling platform 'Meet.' It will let users configure everyone as viewers while creating a Calendar invite. These viewers will not be able to transfer video and audio during calls. However, they can use features like Q&As and polls. Plus, support for in-meeting chat and emoji reactions for viewers is on the way.

Secondly, the organiser can designate participants as co-hosts and contributors for better management of virtual meetings.
