EA and Battlefield Studios have dropped the first trailer for Battlefield 6 Season 1, providing players with an in-depth preview of the game's initial wave of post-launch content prior to its October 28 release. The two-minute clip previews what's in store for the franchise after its successful October 10 release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S.
As per the official explanation, "Blackwell Fields stretches besieged structures and homesteads beneath a scorched horizon, accommodating all combat scales with land and air." In comparison, "Eastwood converts a tranquil villa and golfing resort to a front line, with land vehicles and helicopters on the scene."

The trailer is centred around the new Blackwell Fields and Eastwood maps and also reaffirms EA and Battlefield Studios' intention to provide regular content updates in the months that lie ahead. Last week, the developers showed a three-phase roadmap that runs through December 9.
The initial phase, known as Rogue Ops, is available next week. It adds the Blackwell Fields map, Strikepoint's new 4v4 single-life mode, the Traverser Mark 2 vehicle, and new weapons like the GGH-22 pistol, the SOR-300SC carbine, and the Mini Scout sniper rifle. A new attachment like the Rail Cover and LPVO scope is also available.
Following that is California Resistance, which comes November 18 and includes the Eastwood map, a temporary Sabotage mode, and three new weapons. Finishing out the season is the Winter Offensive update on December 9, which turns the Empire State map into a snowy battlefield and introduces the Ice Climbing Axe as a melee weapon.
Since its release, the Battlefield community has been actively testing weapons, attachments, and bespoke maps through Portal mode. Developers have also been quick to respond, indicating changes to XP, challenges, and overall progression following recent player feedback.
Season 1 heralds the start of Battlefield 6's extended live-service life, with content being rolled out monthly. EA's strategy combines a familiar big-picture fight with fresh tactical modes and an ongoing release of weapons, vehicles, and maps. If the trailer is any guide, Battlefield players are in for a treat as the inaugural season gets underway.
