Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, criticised LinkedIn, the biggest professional network owned by Microsoft, calling it "so cringe it will make your toenails curl" on Wednesday. Interestingly, the billionaire businessman wants to integrate job search into his X platform.

While X, a social media platform owned by Elon Musk, claims 600 million monthly active users (MAUs), LinkedIn boasts roughly 1 billion members across more than 200 countries. In response to an X user's post titled "I detest LinkedIn intensely," Musk said, "LinkedIn is so cringe it will cause your toenails to curl."

Their quick exchange sparked a flurry of replies from Musk's X supporters. "The primary distinction between X and LinkedIn is that users are more likely to be authentic on X.

An X user said, "Too many people are posting on LinkedIn with the impression that HR is breathing down their necks." The billionaire internet investor plans to launch a job search function that will let users look for employment directly on the X platform. Last year, Elon Musk's AI startup began using @XHiring to announce job openings on its page in the US.

Musk stated that while there aren't any outstanding "social networks" at the moment, he is dedicated to developing "at least one" because he wants to create "an everything app."

Previously, Musk criticised Meta-owned WhatsApp targeting the user's security. As per Musk, Meta exports user data every night and still, some people think it is a secure platform. In response to Musk’s post, WhatsApp Head Will Cathcart said that it is not correct. “We take security seriously and that's why we end-to-end encrypt your messages. They don't get sent to us every night or exported to us,” he added.
