Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg became the talk of the town when both accepted to fight in a cage match. Dubbed 'fight of the century', Elon Musk shared today that the contest will be "live-streamed" on X (formerly called Twitter). He goes on to add that the proceeds from the match will "go to charity for veterans". The announcement post has garnered over 12 million views.

This update on the fight has sparked some witty replies from users on the platform. A parody account of Musk (@ElonMuskAOC) said: "The first episode of X-Videos!" Another user said: "Hope the infra is ready for millions of live streams." A third one said: "I hope it will also be live-streamed on Threads."

The X account of Opera GX demanded a date for the match. "This is going to be the biggest fight in history," one user said. Another user questioned: "MMA or boxing!? Coliseum in Rome?"

The Tesla CEO was recently in the limelight for a live video stream on X while he was testing the new enhancements in the feature. He was lifting a dumbbell in the video from his workplace. "Am lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight. Don't have time to work out, so I just bring them to work," Musk said in an X. Replying to a user, he said the fight is "a civilized form of war. Men love war".

For the unaware, the bone of contention between the two business magnets is Threads, the latest text-based app from the Meta Platforms. The Zuckerberg-led app is built in the footsteps of Twitter (now X) in terms of features and public appeal. Musk had challenged the Meta CEO a few weeks back for a cage match in a playful post on X. Responding to this, Mark replied: "Send me location" on Instagram.
