Airtel SIM on Blinkit: Going to a physical SIM card store and getting one for yourself has always felt like a hassle, but what I am going to tell you now will change the way things usually go. From now on if you wish to get an Airtel SIM card you don't need to drag yourself to the store, yeah you heard that right as the telecom giant has joined hands with Blinkit the quick commerce platform that will get you, your SIM card delivered in just 10 minutes. Now you can get a SIM card at your doorstep with just a few taps. The service has been rolled out initially in 16 cities and it will be expanded to other parts of the country as well with time.

“To save customers time and hassle, we’ve collaborated with Airtel to deliver SIM cards directly to customers in select cities, with delivery in just 10 minutes. Blinkit takes care of the delivery, while Airtel makes it easy for customers to complete self-KYC, activate their SIM, and choose between prepaid or postpaid plans. Customers can also opt for number portability, all at their convenience,” said Blinkit founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa.

This partnership is a considerable step which has brought the delivery of SIM cards to your doorsteps in just 10 minutes and the charge for that is just Rs 49. After the SIM card is in your hands you can activate the number by Aadhar-based authentication. Customers can also choose between postpaid and prepaid plans or trigger MNP to port to the Airtel network.

Where Is This Service Available?

Initially, the service is available in 16 cities which includes metropolitans like Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chennai, Bhopal, Indore, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Kolkata and Hyderabad. Soon the service will be available in other cities as well. However, when the services will resume in other cities is still not officially confirmed.
