Gmail, a popular email service, has been constantly making a lot of changes, and has now added new emoji reactions. The feature is currently limited to the Android users and is rolling out in a phased manner. Not only that, the iOS users will also get this feature in the coming months, says a report. If you are using Android and have not received the feature, you will be getting it in the coming weeks.

"With this new feature, you can now respond to emails using emojis directly from your Android device. The emoji reaction option is available on each message in Gmail," Google noted in the update.

Gmail Emoji Feature: How It Works:

1. Open Gmail on your Android device (smartphone or a tablet)
2. Select the message you want to reply to.
3. Beneath the message, tap "Add emoji reaction" and choose an emoji from the picker.
4. The selected emoji will appear at the bottom of the email.

Users can touch and hold an emoji reaction to see who responded to an email. You can just tap the existing reaction chip to reuse it if someone else has already added a reaction to the email. Depending on their "Undo Send" settings, users have a brief window of 5 to 30 seconds after adding an emoji reaction to take it out. It's crucial to be aware that, in accordance with Google's policies, the "Undo Send" time can only be modified on a computer.

This feature does have certain restrictions. You cannot use emoji reactions with a work or school account. Additionally, they are not available when emails are sent to lists of more than 20 recipients, when recipients are bcc'd (blind carbon copied), and in a few other particular situations. Further, if a user has previously submitted more than 20 reactions to a message, they are unable to respond to that message.
