Bard AI, Google's own AI chatbot and OpenAI's ChatGPT competition, has received a major update. The AI chatbot can now integrate Google apps and services such as Gmail, Docs, Drive, Maps, YouTube, and Google Flights and Hotels for more helpful responses with this update.

Google is currently extending Bard's access to capabilities that are currently only available in English, such as the ability to upload photographs using Google Lens, receive search results with images, and change Bard's responses to one of the more than 40 supported languages. English-language Bard Extensions offer a fresh method of communication and cooperation with Bard. To examine Bard's responses, the business has improved the Google it tool and given access to other locations.

With responses in English, you can now more quickly verify the results with Bard's "Google it" button thanks to an upgrade that draws on Google Research and Google DeepMind's work.

When you select the "oeG" icon, Bard will read your response and determine whether or not there is web information that supports it. When a statement can be examined, you can click the underlined words to learn more about any supporting or opposing data that Search has discovered.

"With Extensions, Bard can identify and present important information from the Google tools you use every day, even if the information you need is spread across numerous applications and services," said Yury Pinsky, Director of Product Management at Bard.

Your files from Gmail, Docs, and Drive won't be seen by human reviewers, used by Bard to show you advertisements, or used to train the Bard model if you want to use the Workspace extensions.

"When determining how to use these extensions, you are always in control of your privacy settings, and you can turn them off at any time," added the company.

“Additionally, we're making it simpler to continue the discussions started with Bard by others. You can now carry on a conversation and ask Bard additional questions about a topic or use it as a springboard for your own thoughts when someone shares a Bard chat with you through a public link,” according to the company.
