Google Bard is the company's rival to the viral language model ChatGPT of OpenAI. The chatbot of Google is all set to get a revamp that the company will likely term "Bard Advanced". The company stated that it will be powered by Gemini Ultra. And 9To5Google recently spotted signs that the company may tout the model to offer better responses to complex queries in Bard's UI.
According to the report, these details were revealed after a glitch in Bard on Thursday that shared hints at what the more "Advanced" version of Bard could offer. While Bard may be preferred for simpler and faster responses, the "Advanced" trim will reportedly offer "better responses" and boast improved output for "complex" queries.
Bard currently runs on Gemini Pro, which acts as a direct rival to GPT 3.5. The tech giant claims that Gemini Ultra surpasses the latest GPT-4 in several benchmarks. Moreover, the report notes that a Bard Advanced picker is also in the works in the Google app. The company claim the "Advanced mode" will offer access to the company's best AI models. However, the service might support limited functionality and not be well-optimised at launch.
