Google which has been making a lot of changes to its Workspace services, has now announced that it would be making paginated mode as default for Android users using Docs. The documents will now open in paginated mode unless they are set to pageless, according to the company's blog post.
With this change, the business hopes to provide users with a better-ordered visual design across online and mobile. Google will set up pages and page breaks in the program. "This will set up your Google Doc with pages and page breaks in the app, enabling a more cohesive visual design between web and mobile," said the company in its blog post.
Additionally, the business said that controls in the item preview viewer would automatically respond to whether a foldable device is open, closed, or only partially open when a user uses the Drive application on one.
Google launched a new tool in April of this year that lets users add emoji reactions to comments in Docs. By tapping a new button in the bottom-right corner of the window, users may now add emojis to comments on Google Docs.
Meanwhile, Google IO 2023, a California-based technology business, has announced the integration of AI into a number of services, including Docs, Gmail, Excel, and other Workspace applications. In addition, the company has revealed AI integration for Maps and Photos. Furthermore, the company has offered new features such as the option to finish a half-written story or article. In addition, the company has released Generative AI Wallpapers.
For users outside of India, the firm has also unveiled the eagerly awaited Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, and Pixel Tab. Although the Pixel 7a is presently on the market in India, there has been no official announcement regarding the launch of the Pixel Fold and Pixel Tab.
