Google Lens is among the powerful solutions on smartphones to extract details from images via clicking or uploading images. To help users get back to a result or check out the response at a later date for specific purposes, the tech giant is now introducing the option to save Visual Search History. Spotted by 9To5Google, the feature automatically saves images captured with Lens to help users get back later.

For the unaware, the picture captured by Lens is sent to Google and becomes inaccessible to the user after the search. But this is set to change with the debut of the new option for the Google app. However, the report noted that the images from Google Photos or Circle to Search do not appear in the 'History' tab.

Similar to the history of the web and apps, YouTube, location and more, the Lens searches appear within the 'My Activity' tab. You can check the activity and download images from this section. To use the feature, you must enable it from the Google Account. Here is how you can enable the feature.

According to the report, Visual Search History is disabled by default for users of a Google Account. While it has started rolling out, it may take a few weeks to show up for your account.
