Google Meet is a popular video-calling platform used across the globe. In an effort to ensure users enjoy the best experience, the company introduces new features for the offering at regular intervals. In a recent update, the company is now introducing a portrait touch-up feature for Meet on the web. According to Google, the feature can be used for a light touch-up on the face before or during a meeting on the platform.
Participants in an online meeting can opt out of the two portrait touch-up modes. The 'Subtle' mode can offer "very light complexion smoothing, under eye lightning and eye whitening". Secondly, the "Smoothing" option will offer slightly more pronounced effects for the three elements. Google noted that the option is switched off by default.
"Portrait touch-up can be used to lightly touch up your appearance before or during a meeting, helping you feel more comfortable and confident in your appearance during video calls," Google said. The feature has started rolling out for eligible users. To enable the feature in Google Meet, here is a how-to guide.
