Similar to other chatbots, users can give basic instructions to the chatbot, such as to "Play Arjit Singh on your device." With this command, the background music will start. The request can be fulfilled for iOS users by visiting the YouTube Music application. In response to these orders, Gemini displays a card with the cover image, artist details, duration, and play count.

Not only that, but you can also do some specific searches such as find Channa Mereya by Arjit Singh and it will find you the track. Additionally, the users will also be able to pause, resume, stop, skip, or restart tracks using their commands. With this, the company seems to offer an enhanced hands-free interaction with music service. Do note that the background music played on Android is only available for YouTube Premium subscription holders.

Additionally, users can converse with the chatbot by using commands like "Play music that I like" or "Show some rock music," which will play the user's "Liked Music" playlist. Moreover, PC support for the feature is currently incomplete. As per 9To5Google, users attempting to search for a song would receive an error notice stating that Gemini is unable to play the file, but it can provide a YouTube link to the users.
