GTA 6 PC requirements: Rockstar Games has come under fire once again as it floors the brakes on the GTA 6 release by November 2026. Although the studio had previously announced a May release date for consoles, the new estimation led to renewed fears that it would be delayed again. But fresh leaks now indicate development is well and truly finalised, the game purportedly in a state where it can be played from beginning to end.

That report, quoting from insiders and ex-Rockstar staff, says the core development of GTA 6 is in a "locked" state – so no major features are being added. Instead, it is said the team is polishing gameplay and working to optimise the performance of the game while squishing bugs and generally improving overall quality before launch. No surprises there, and as is to be expected, Rockstar Games have not issued a statement regarding the rumour and remain quiet on their mystery project.

GTA 6 Release Date and Devices

Finally, GTA 6 will release officially on November 19th, 2026 after the game’s latest delay. The game will release only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Leaks have indicated that a PC version might come later, and if it follows Rockstar’s traditional model of staggered launch, it could come in autumn 2027. That said, given the firm’s track record of delays, fans are still cautiously optimistic this timeline will stay true.

GTA 6 Map and Characters (What we know)

From what we’ve seen in trailers and early teasers, GTA 6 is based in Vice City and the surrounding state of Leonida, giving us a modern twist on the neon-soaked location. It apparently centres around a “Bonnie and Clyde”-esque criminal couple, signalling a move toward character-driven storytelling.

The two confirmed protagonists are:

Lucia Caminos, GTA’s inaugural female protagonist

Jason Duval, her partner-in-crime

Their epic journey will be supported by more allies along the way, including some new potential love interests, with a supposedly ironically engaging story dealing in crime, relationships and, at its core, survival in Rockstar’s most ambitious open world yet.

GTA 6 PC System Requirements (Expected)

Although Rockstar has not released official PC specs, leaks indicate the following should be considered minimal:

OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)

Processor: Intel Core i5-9600K, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or equivalent

RAM: 16GB

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (8GB) or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT (8GB of GDDR 6)

Storage: Around 150GB SSD

These specs suggest GTA 6 could be one of the most demanding PC games ever at launch.

GTA 6 Price in India (Expected)

Pricing specifics are still unverified, but the reports point toward:

Standard Edition: Around ₹5,999

Higher Editions May cost up to ₹8,999

Rockstar has not officially confirmed the cost, and we can probably expect regional prices much nearer release.

What This GTA 6 Rumour Really Means?

If the leaks are true, the fact that GTA 6 would now be "playable" suggests it might be on the way sooner rather than later. It would mean Rockstar are keen to begin internal testing on Red Dead Online, and the lack of big new features this late in development means the company is likely prioritising stability over last-minute additions. Still, until Rockstar speaks up, fans will be listening closely — because in the case of GTA 6, nothing is set in stone until release day.
