Halo studios: Halo fans might be in for a big treat, apart from the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved that is set to come out, the developers might be reportedly dropping more than just one remake this time with even more older titles making their way. The studio which was previously know by the name 343 Industries, is reportedly developing Halo 2 and Halo 3 as well. The titles might be in early development as of now, so its still a while till fans can see the final product.
Rebs Gaming a popular industry insider has shared a video on YouTube that gives lays down some information on what Halo Studios might be onto this time. Industry insider has made claims that suggest that Halo 2 and Halo 3 might be in development, and a few months ago the insider also claimed that Microsoft was developing the Halo trilogy. These latest claims have been supported two more sources it is being claimed.
“One of my new sources sent me proof to verify themself and confirm that the Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes are definitely happening,” Rebs Gaming said. “Active development is underway; they are in early development.”
The new remakes will reportedly make their way to the shelves regardless of the fact that Halo: Campaign Evolved is already on the anvil, and with its launch confirmed for 2026. If reports are to be believed Halo: Campaign Evolved will have some missions from Halo 2 and Halo 3, like the Brutes.
There’s also a new twist in the ongoing Halo development chatter. According to Rebs Gaming, the multiplayer project currently in the works may not be what fans initially expected. Instead of a traditional competitive experience, it’s now being linked to a PvE-focused extraction shooter, a genre that has been gaining serious traction lately.
This connects to earlier reports about Project Tatanka, a Halo battle royale title that was once in development before being shelved. The same project is now believed to have evolved into this extraction-style experience, suggesting a shift in direction rather than a complete restart.
That said, Microsoft and Halo Studios have not officially confirmed any of this yet. Information about both the multiplayer game and the next Halo game in the series remains shrouded in mystery. However, what is certain is that in 2024, the studio changed its name from 343 Industries to Halo Studios and declared that there were various Halo games in the works.

In addition, Microsoft also unveiled Halo: Campaign Evolved, which is a complete remastering of the first Halo game in Unreal Engine 5. This remake promises to provide a 4K visual experience, enhanced animations, Halo weapons and vehicles, a new soundtrack, remastered voice lines, and a new storyline. There are also going to be three more campaign levels.
Campaign Evolved is also one of the titles that will make its way to PlayStation, with the remake set to launch across multiple devices like Xbox Series S/X, Xbox app on PC, Steam, and PS5 this year itself.
