EVER since smartwatches have taken over the OG analog and digital watches, the market has been cluttered with entry-level to mid-range brands which directly compete with the technology giants like Apple and Samsung. However, the entry-level smartwatch segment has already been the talk of the town and now plenty of capable brands with new products have stepped into the market to take on the audience which is looking for a versatile option, that too at the budget range.

We recently got our hands on the Hammer Ace 3.0 which packs a slew of new features including Bluetooth calling, sports and health modes along with a decent-sized screen, let’s discuss all of it below.

Hammer Ace 3.0 Design And Display:

So, if you're an Apple fan but have a limited budget, this looks almost the same. The Hammer Ace 3.0 has an Apple-like metallic finished body with a digital crown and a 1.85-inch IPS display with 500 nits of brightness, allowing the user to use the device in direct sunlight with great ease. Also included with the watch is a silicon strap, which has never given me any trouble, not even at night.

The watch appears to be a complete package in terms of looks and display, as it does all of the work that a user would expect it to do and can give the device an advantage in the segment.

Speaking of the screen, it is pretty responsive and is capable of producing vibrant colours along with easy readability inside out.

Hammer Ace 3.0 Health And Fitness Features:

So far, the watch has proven to be a wise investment in the under-Rs 2,000 price range. It includes a heart rate sensor, a SpO2 sensor, a sleep tracker, blood pressure monitoring, and practice breathing exercises. Overall, the watch has around 60 sports modes which work fine. The accuracy on the other hand also seems to be working fine but not as precise as the user will get from the flagships, which is completely acceptable looking at the segment.

Hammer Ace 3.0 Bluetooth Calling:

It's surprising that a watch under Rs 2,000 offers Bluetooth calling, but after getting our hands on one, we can confirm that it's true. The company claims that the smartwatch has Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity, but there is still a long way to go as the calls felt laggy and difficult to use (sometimes). Furthermore, while the watch does save the claimed 50 contacts, you may have difficulty finding the one with whom you need to make a call.

“Our latest launch campaign for Ace 3.0 #thebigmove was ranked at #3 on Amazon within 2 days of its launch, being at the top amidst a highly competitive market, shows how our efforts have paid off and that We Have Arrived,” said Rohit Nandwani, Founder and COO, HAMMER.

Hammer Ace 3.0 Battery:

The battery pack on the smartwatch is impressive, and the company claims that it can last up to 5 days on a single charge. We were able to churn out the output for about 4 days after moderate usage.

Verdict:

If you want a versatile smartwatch with no compromise on looks or features but are on a tight budget, you should definitely consider getting one. However, it is worth noting that you may have to compromise on some things which can be sidelined, if you are looking for a value for money product.
