Har Ghar Tiranga 2023: The Government of India recently announced its Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to commemorate the celebrations of the 77th Independence Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged Indian citizens to change their DP on social media platforms to the Indian flag via a post on X.
However, soon after changing the profile picture on X, accounts of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Yogi Adityanath (CM of UP), Manohar Lal Khattar (CM of Haryana) and many other famous personalities lost their verified badges. This sparked the question of whether a verified badge of an X Premium user will go away if they change their profile picture to Tiranga. Well, here is the answer.
Har Ghar Tiranga X DP Change: Can My Blue Tick Go Away On X If I Change My DP?
According to X Help Center, after a user subscribes to Premium, any changes to the profile photo (or DP), account name or username (@__) will result in the loss of a blue tick of a verified account. However, this will be temporary until X validates the account requirements. During the review, no further changes will be allowed.
The company adds that the "checkmark will appear again" after review and once the accounts meet the necessary requirements. Further, the badge may be removed from "inactive and incomplete accounts" automatically, the support page adds.

Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan: What did PM Modi say?
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign aims to inspire Indians to host the national flag at their homes to invoke a sense of patriotism and promote awareness around the Tri-colour flag.
"In the spirit of the #HarGharTiranga movement, let us change the DP of our social media accounts and extend support to this unique effort which will deepen the bond between our beloved country and us," the Indian Prime Minister said.
