Independence Day 2023 Selfie Contest: The Indian Government has announced multiple contests and initiatives to engage the citizens with vibrant activities on the 77th Independence Day. One such contest - Online Selfie Contest was announced by the Ministry of Defence in partnership with MyGov. The competition will start on August 15 and end on August 20, 2023.

The ministry has cherry-picked 12 locations from where an individual can click a selfie and post it on the portal. A winner from each spot will be chosen and rewarded Rs 10,000 as a cash prize.

Independence Day Selfie Contest: How to upload selfies on the MyGov portal?

Head to this link in a new tab on an internet browser and tap/click the "Login to Participate" option. Create an account and fill in the details. Follow the on-screen instructions and upload your selfie from the selected location.

These selfie points are dedicated to diverse schemes and initiatives of the government. Here is a list of all locations with the name of the installation.

Independence Day Selfie Contest: Things to Note

- A participant must note that the entries will be judged on "creativity, originality, composition, and simplicity"

- To participate in the contest, a user must be a citizen of India

- Only one entry per user is allowed

- The photo should be in colour format and geo-tagged

- Only ".JPG, .PNG or .PDF" file formats are accepted

- The image should be of high quality with 300 DPI (maximum size: 10MB, minimum size: 2MB)

- All the details of communication should be accurately updated
