Independence Day Ticket Booking: As we head closer to the 77th Independence Day on Tuesday this year, India is preparing in full swing to celebrate this special occasion. Just like in previous years, the centre of attention will be the grand cultural events and iconic parade at the Red Fort in Delhi to honour India's independence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unfurl the National Flag from this heritage building and deliver a customary speech addressing the nation.

And if you plan to witness these grand celebrations, you can head to aamantran.mod.gov.in to book your tickets. Here's a step-by-step guide on how you can book e-tickets for the event.

How to Book Tickets For Independence Day 2023?

Step 1: Open this link in a new tab on your browser on a smartphone or desktop

Step 2: Enter the required details, including name, contact number and the number of tickets required

Step 3: Upload the documents for verification (Note: Make sure to enter the exact address written on your verification ID such as Aadhar card, PAN Card, Voter ID etc.)

Step 4: Opt for the ticket category and complete the payment to book your pass

Step 5: Download the e-ticket and present a printout at the entrance of the venue

The website under the Ministry of Defence is available in two languages: English and Hindi.

Independence Day 2023: Red Fort Program Schedule

The program is slated to start at 09:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM on August 15. A visitor must reach the destination before 8:30 AM to avoid last minute rush and witness the flag hoisting ceremony at 9:00 PM.

Independence Day Parade Ticket Price

The tickets are available across three categories: Rs 20 per person, Rs 100 per person and Rs 500 per person. These are available for a limited time period. So you should book the tickets well in advance.
